Zoo Trips

This year we decided to get a zoo membership, so we have been to the zoo a few different times. It has been pretty fun all the times we've gone because we've been able to go with friends every time and focus on seeing different things. These pictures are from three different trips to the zoo.


Learning about grizzly bears








We went to see the butterflies on two of our trips. The kids really like to see them.


Yes, that is a real butterfly. It is HUGE! The workers there told me that they don't do much but reproduce when they are butterflies and eat when they are caterpillars.











This is one of Tink's church classmates. We are in a homeschooling co-op and 4-H with him and his brother and sister.









I know it's not a good a picture, but I had to post it because it is the first flamingo egg we saw. One of the previous times we went the zoo keepers told us that they were nesting and getting ready to lay eggs, so the kids were really excited to see the egg in there. :-)

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Tink was laughing so hard when she got to dump the water on a big kid's head. I wish you could see her face. It was awesome. Tink eating a hot dog Skinja playing on the giant slip n slide

Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
