Pateetee's New Haircut

Way back in March, Skinja and Pateetee decided to play barber shop or hair salon or something because Skinja took scissors to Pateetee's hair and did quite the hack job. There were spots all the way down to her scalp on the top of her head and short spots all over. I took her to a children's hair salon to see what they could do. The lady cut the bottom so it was mostly even, trimmed up some on the top and layered it, and basically, combed over the top to hide the super short areas. It is starting to grow out now and doesn't look too bad yet, but I suspect that we will need to get it trimmed up soon so as to avoid it looking like a mullet. The picture was taken the day it was cut.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
