Tink's 1st Sewing Project

A few months ago, Tink told me she wanted to start learning how to sew. So, I asked a friend of mine how to start teaching her. My friend is an amazing seamstress and has taught her girls how to sew. After giving Tink a couple options, she decided she wanted to make a purse to match a dress I had made her. She helped cut out the pieces and iron them. Then we sewed them. Tink managed the foot pedal, and I helped her hold the fabric straight and feed it into the machine. She also held the button for doing reverse stitches. We haven't made anything since then, but we do have plans to make a tooth fairy pillow and throw pillows for Skinja, Pateetee and Tink.

I know she looks sad in this picture, but she told me that's what she was trying to do.
