Nana and Papa's Visit, Part 2
I didn't want to make the last post any longer than it already was, so I decided to put the rest of the pictures from Nana and Papa's visit on this post. So, here are the pictures from the USS Lexington Museum in Corpus Christi.
An actual anchor from the ship
The kids enjoyed pretending they were shooting the guns.
All five of the grandkids in birth order, which is obviously not size order.
Tink keeping up with the boys.
Love this picture!
Sitting in the captain's chair
Nana and Papa listening to a Sailor who served on the USS Lexington
This was pretty neat to be able to walk "the plank." They had a sign about what these really were. I think they might have been something that was added when they retired the ship and made it a museum, but I can't remember.
Tink loves getting her picture taken and almost always poses.
Daddy being, well, Daddy.
They threw us in the Brigg! (I absolutely love Skinja's facial expression!)
We also took Nana and Papa to the San Antonio Zoo. So, here are a few pictures from there.
Hanging out in the triple stroller
Checking out the alligators and fish
I find this picture fascinating.
Okapi--looks like a mix between a zebra and a giraffe
Baby elephant
All the animals were sleeping/resting when we went. It was rather warm that day, especially for February.
