May Visit from Auntie T and Uncle R
One of Daddy's weekends off in May, Auntie T and Uncle R and the girls came down to visit. The kiddos had a blast playing outside together, and one day we all drove down to Corpus Christi to go to the beach. It was very crowded, and there were lots of jellyfish everywhere. So, we didn't get to play as much as we wanted, but it was still fun for the kids.
The night before these pictures were taken it had rained pretty hard. Daddy had come home from work late and decided to get the kids out of bed because he had seen a bunch of frogs in the road on his way home. So we all went out with flashlights and caught a bunch of frogs (I think it was about 6 or 7). We put them in a container and put them on the back porch overnight. The next morning the kiddos took them out front to play with them.
KBells wouldn't even touch them at first, but she finally got brave enough to pick them up and hold them.
Because of all the rain from the previous couple days, there was a "pond" of sorts before the actual ocean. I think the kids preferred playing in it because it was warm and there were no jellyfish in it.
Daddy took the kids out in the water and helped keep the jellyfish away.

If you click on this picture, you will notice a purple bandaid right above Teetee's right eye. So, here is the story about that. One day we went down to Pleasanton to see Auntie N and the boys. While we were there, we decided to meet up with Daddy for lunch at Burger King. We went into the play area to let the kids play while we waited for our food. Daddy got a phone call from work, and I needed to go use the bathroom. I told Daddy, but since he was on the phone, he didn't hear me. When he got off the phone, he looked at Teetee, and she was wiping her forehead. At first, he thought it was ketchup, but when he picked her up to look at her, he realized it was blood. By this time, I had come back from the bathroom. Pateetee had a big cut right above her eyebrow. She told us she hit her head on one of the little kid chairs. I debated taking her to the ER again, but after the last visit, I decided not to. She has a nice little scar there now, but she is just fine.
In case you're wondering, the previous trip to the ER was for a tiny cut right next to her right eye that happened about 2-3 weeks before the Burger King incident. I was at the grocery store and taken the kids out of the cart to get a drink of water from the drinking fountain. When I turned to put Pateetee back in the cart, I accidentally hit her head on the corner of the wall. When I took her to the ER, they put the liquid bandaid stuff on it (essentially super glue). I ended up paying the $200 copay, an almost $200 bill from the hospital, and an almost $800 bill from the ER doctor. Anyway, it was a lot of money to pay for something so little. I would have just taken her to the doctor, but it is nearly impossible to get in to see her doctor on short notice. And by short notice I mean, you pretty much have to schedule appointments 2-3 months in advance. I tried calling to get her in and they didn't have anything available. So, yeah, that's the story on Teetee's two scars by her eye.
