New Apartment

Here are the pictures of our apartment, finally. We are enjoying living in our own place and having space for almost all our stuff. ;)

These two pictures, obviously, are of our pantry. I thought it was amusing that we have so much food--the beginnings of our food storage.

This is the shot of our closet from the door, but it is very deceiving. It is about 4 times the size of what you can see; it is HUGE!

Our bathroom

Our bedroom--It's a little messy. Do you like our bed? Yes, it is an air mattress. We sold our bed before we moved from Utah, so we are currently in the market for a new one. We are considering getting a Tempurpedic or Sleep Number.

Mya's closet--It's pretty decent sized. As you can see, we store all our arts and crats materials and games in it.

Mya's very own bedroom--Isn't it cute? I know it's a little bare, but we're working on it.

Mya's bathroom--She picked out the shower curtain and floor mat.

Below: The hallway from the living room to the bedrooms.

The kitchen--it is a little small, but we manage.

This is our new dining table. We love it! It even has a leaf to make it a little bigger, which will be great for when we have more children. However, it only has 4 chairs.

The view from the living room into the kitchen. I like that you can see into the living room while you're cooking.

The living room before we set up the computer desk. It is in the corner where the chair is sitting in this picture. We only have the 2 recliners, but we're hoping to get a love seat. It may not look like it, but one would fit in there.

Well, that's our apartment. It's not real big but it is big enough for our small little family right now. We are hoping to be able to buy a house in about a year or so. I hoping we don't have to move too many more times. I would like to be able to find a place to settle down before Mya gets into school so that she doesn't have to go through that whole ordeal of making friends and then having to leave and try to make new friends. Although, I think she would be able to handle it fairly well. I say that because even with her being only 2, she still had a hard time understanding that this was our new place and that we aren't going to be living at Omi's anymore. It only took a few days to a week, but she still needed to adjust. I can only imagine that it gets worse for them as they get older. Hopefully, we won't really need to worry about it.

I'm glad you have lots of your own space! Jack was still asking to go home and see Uncle Garret after we had been here 3 months. Kate was just in a tizzy after we moved for a long time. Because she can't communicate I couldn't tell how much of it was the move and how much it was her age. Then again Jack couldn't handle our move next door at 6 months.
