Reviewing Last Year's Resolutions
So, here are my resolutions from last year with my comments on how I think I did.
1. Studying scriptures everyday--Hmmm....well, I know I didn't do this one, but I think I did an okay job with it. The hardest time for me to keep up with this is when we go on vacation. I think I need to find a better routine.
2. Praying everyday--We did quite well with this as a family, but I'm still struggling with it personally. I can usually remember to pray before bed, but I have a hard time in the morning. That could be because I don't wake up until one of my children wakes me up. Again, I think I need a better routine.
3. Journaling every week--I think I average closer to once a month rather than once a week, but I'm still trying.
4. Keeping up with my house (I know this can be futile, but I'm going to try. :)--I've been getting better, but I still have my days.
5. Making lunches everyday for Daddy--I did much better with this this past year than the previous one, but I still need to keep working at it. I have even started giving him breakfast most days when I do make his lunches.
6. Putting playing time with the kids first--Definitely still working on this one. I think sometimes I just get overwhelmed with all the things I expect myself to do. I need to continually remind myself of my priorities.
7. Making a meal calendar and sticking to it--This one has probably been the best one for me. Sometimes I rearrange the meals on the calendar, but I have been doing a pretty good job at making the calendar and shopping for it.
8. Getting out of credit card debt (This should be accomplished by the end of the summer. Yay!)--Well, that didn't quite go according to plan, which kind of leads into how we did with #9.
9. Sticking to our budget--Did really well for awhile but they got kind of lax and started using the cards. Now, we're back to working on getting out of debt. I'm determined to stay out this time! :)
10. Getting into better shape (i.e. walking or playing Wii Fit 5-6 days/week)--I did really well with this before I got pregnant and even for the first few months of the pregnancy. Once the weather started getting nasty, I stopped walking and since we sold our TV, I couldn't do my Wii Fit. I get a little bit of exercise when I do laundry (laundry facility is just across the apartment complex) or go grocery shopping.
