Grandpa Stewart

This morning while I was enjoying  myself at a cooking class at church, Daddy called me. I knew something was up because he rarely calls me for no reason during the day. He had called to inform my that his grandpa had just passed away. It was expected--well, as much as you can expect it--because he had been battling cancer for the past year.
Daddy can probably tell you a lot more about Grandpa than I can, but in the short time I was able to know him, I have come to love him dearly. He always seemed to love having family around. He was a very spiritually strong man with a huge heart. I loved his smile and the twinkle he always had in his eye. He was also a very passionate man. I wish my children could have gotten to know him more, but at least we know that they will get the chance to know him in the next life. :) Grandpa Stewart was a very kind, caring, generous and loving person. He will be greatly missed, but at times like these I like to try to remember that those who have passed on are in a much happier state and that it really won't be all that long before we get to see them again. The knowledge of life after death and eternal families is such a wonderful comfort.
Daddy will probably be flying up to the funeral this weekend with his brother. Hopefully, he won't get too much grief from work for taking time off.

We'll miss you, Grandpa, and we can't wait to see you again someday!
