2010 Goals

So this year I decided to do my goals a little differently. I have decided to come up with a few goals under each of the following categories: financial, physical, intellectual, spiritual, parental, and relationship. This means that I have a few more goals than last year, but I like to have them categorized so that I can feel more balanced in my life. Hopefully, I will continue to have success throughout this year. I have been working on some of these things this week and have surprised myself with how well I'm doing. I still find it rather tricky to find just the right balance between all the different areas, but I am trying. Some days I do better in one area than another only to find that the next day it is just the opposite. Maybe one of these days I will be able to find the perfect balance for my life.

Financial Goals:
1. Sell Sonata
2. Pay off both credit cards
3. Pay "cash" for all purchases
4. Earn a minimum of $200/month with Pampered Chef

Physical/Health Goals:
1. Eat 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables/day (I'm horrible at this!)
2. Exercise 5-6 days/week (walking, Wii Fit, EA Sports Active, etc.)
3. Have a set bed time and wake up time and stick to it (Again, NOT my strong suit!)
4. Get back to pre-pregnancy weight (By this, I mean pre-Mya-pregnancy weight, or at least within 5lbs of it.)

Spiritual Goals:
1. Read through the whole Old Testament
2. Attend the Temple every other month (This would be fantastic since I haven't been to the temple in a really long time.)
3. Pray morning & night
4. Prepare my Relief Society lesson at least a week in advance

Intellectual Goals:
1. Read at least one book a month
2. Learn how to use photo editing software
3. Learn how to sew and finish 1 project every other month
4. Start writing poetry again (1-2 poems/month)

Parenting Goals:
1. Design better daily routine for children
2. Plan more projects & activities we can do together
3. Be more positive, patient and proactive
4. Parent/Child Outings (i.e. Daddy/Daughter date, Mommy/son date, etc.)

Relationship Goals:
1. Couple Prayers & Scriptures daily
2. Date night once a month
3. Encourage Daddy's talents
4. Look for positives in Daddy and all he does

Are you doing the Dave Ramsey Plan?

I'm working on whittling my list to three. My issue is its hard to make goals measurable. Like how do you know you've become more kind? If you figure out a way to measure increasing one's energy level let me know.

Not as far as I know. If I am doing the Dave Ramsey Plan it is purely by chance. (Honestly, I'm not even sure who he is!) I know I have some goals that are hard to measure, but I couldn't figure out how else to write those goals. I have ways of measuring them in my head and by how I feel.
