Halloween

This year for Halloween we decided to go as the characters from Monsters, Inc. Since buying costumes for the characters we wanted to be would have been super expensive, I decided to make them. I'm not a master seamstress by any means, and I did the easiest version of the characters as possible. Daddy's costume was finished completely, and I messed up on the sleeves. (The only things I've really sewn before have been quilts. Way easier than clothes!) And, I didn't actually make my costume, Daddy did, sort of...It was my idea, but since it was duct tape, I couldn't really do it myself.

We didn't go trick-or-treating. Instead we went to our ward's (church's) Halloween party and took the kids to the trunk-or-treat afterwards. We had a lot of fun and by the time we left the kids were pretty tuckered out. It was a fun night! On Sunday we let the kids eat almost all of their candy. They didn't get a whole lot, but it's nice to have most of it gone.

So this isn't Halloween related, but I thought it was cute. Daddy was watching a football game on the laptop, and Monster decided he wanted to watch, too. So he sat right down in Daddy's lap, and I was actually able to get a picture of it. Shortly after this, Monster got up and Teeny decided she wanted to watch for a minute. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of her and Daddy.
