Daddy Got a Calling

Last week at church Daddy got a calling. He is the 1st counselor in the Young Men's Presidency. Today he was sustained and set apart. I think it will be a great calling for him. He gets along really well with the young men in our ward, and I think that the boys will really look up to him. I think it is a really good fit for him, and I know that he will be able to make a difference in their lives and help them to learn and grow.
This week has been fairly uneventful for us. Daddy has been working a lot, and we have just been enjoying the nice weather. We got to play outside almost every day this week. We did our usual Story Time at the library, and this week we actually had Playgroup. The past few weeks no one has shown up except us, so it was nice to see everyone and let the kids play together.
We are now 23 weeks along in our pregnancy. Only 4 more months to go. :) We are going to have our ultrasound at our appointment this week, but just like the other two, we are not going to find out the gender of the baby. Hopefully, we'll get pictures and be able to post them for y'all to see.
I guess that's about all that's been going on with us.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
