Week Full of Accidents & Pain

So, this has been an extremely hectic week for us. Daddy went in Tuesday morning to get his wisdom teeth taken out. That in and of itself is enough to deal with. He has been doing pretty well and went back to work today (Thursday). He still has been in a little pain, has swollen cheeks and can't eat anything real solid yet.
Then on Tuesday night while I was trying to help Teeny brush her teeth and get ready for bed, Monster decided to start climbing on the toilet. Teeny had left her step stool by the toilet, and Monster loves to climb up on it and stand next to the counter. Since it was next to something lower, he thought it would be a good idea to climb up to the next highest level. I wasn't paying attention, and he slipped and fell getting his face smashed between the counter and the toilet. He was screaming, and I just instantly grabbed him and held not looking to see if anything was bleeding. Daddy came in and took Monster to look at him, and his mouth was full of blood. He cut that piece of skin that connects the top lip to the gums. He also bit his lower lip. The next morning he had two fat lips, but today everything is starting to look much better. I can tell it is healing.
And that brings us to today. I was giving Teeny and Monster a bath, and when they were finished, I took Monster out of the tub first (which I always do). I usually will wrap Teeny in a towel and put her outside the tub on the floor before taking Monster out to the living room to Daddy. Well, tonight I didn't do that. I left Teeny in the tub and told her to stay there until I got back. Riiiiigggghhhhttt.....a 2 year old stay put anywhere? Needless to say, she decided she was going to get out of the tub, which again, normally she doesn't have a problem with. She must have slipped on the way out or something because we heard a thump and then a scream. Daddy went in to get her because I hadn't quite handed Monster off yet. She cut her chin open just a little, but it must have hurt really badly. It bled a little bit, so Daddy put one of Teeny's princess band aids on it.
Sometimes, I think I have the most accident-prone children, but then I realize that they have Daddy for a dad. :) They just like to be daring and active and climb and all that craziness which can sometimes lead to bumps and bruises and cuts. Such is the life of a mother! As stressful as it can get some days, I don't think I would have it any other way. I love my children and my husband just the way they are!!!!
