Roommate Reunion--Columbus, Ohio

In July, my old college roommates and I decided to get together for a 10 Year Reunion. We met up at Tiffany's house for a few days and explored Columbus and surrounding areas. It was fun to get together again and just hang out like old times. I had Bitty with me because she was still nursing and I had no one I could leave her with. The other three kiddos were at Granny and Grumpa's house.


The first day we were there we drove up to Kirtland to see the church history sites. It was really neat, and the whole time I kept thinking, "I can't wait to come back here with Daddy and the kids."







The second day we went into downtown Columbus to see this replica of the Santa Maria. It was really cool to see, and again I kept thinking about how much Tink and Skinja would have enjoyed seeing it and asking questions about it.







We also went to the Columbus Temple and took some pictures. I'm hoping that we'll get to see how they turned out very soon. ;-)

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
