Dinosaurs and Other Fun Stuff
We got some bendaroos from a homeschooling friend because her grandson didn't use them anymore. This is one of Tink's creations.
One day while to kids were playing outside under the big tree in our front yard, they saw a snake. They ran inside to tell me, so that I could go look at it. I was a little hesitant at first because there are a number of venomous snakes here in Texas. So, I took this picture of it to find out what kind of snake it was. We learned that it is a rat snake and they are not venomous. We decided to go back out and try to catch it, so we could show Daddy. After a little bit of work, I managed to get it in a bucket. We kept it for a day or two, and then let it go. The kids really wanted to keep it for a pet, but Daddy reminded them that it wouldn't make a very good pet since it is wild and wasn't used to people. It was very aggressive and tried to bite me through the container anytime I walked by it. He did however tell them that if we decided to get a snake for a pet, we would get one from a pet store since they are more used to being around people.
Playing paleontologist and digging for dinosaur fossils and footprints
The Witte also has this really neat part of the museum call the Treehouse where they have a lot of fun, educational things for kids to do and play with. This is always the kids' favorite part of going there. They often ask when we're going back.
Tink loves to braid her hair so that she can take it out in the morning and have curly hair.
Love this pic of my Bitty in the swing at the park!
I think this is the only picture of Daffodil where she kind of looks like me. I'm fairly certain my mom has a similar picture of me at about that age. It's pretty amusing.
