Theme: Halloween/Fall
This past week and last week we have been learning about fall and having fun doing Halloween things. We learned why we have seasons, how the earth orbits the sun and tilts on it's axis. We read books about the seasons, fall and monsters. We made footprint ghosts and leaf print pictures. We went on a walk around our neighborhood, collected leaves and discussed how we knew it was fall.
On Saturday we decided to take the kids to a Pumpkin Patch up in Flower Mound. We had a blast with all the fun things they had to do, and all we had to pay for was parking. (And it was only $5!)

Before we got to the pumpkin patch, we stopped on the side of a country road, so the kids could watch a train go by. Skinja loves trains. He and Tink try to count the cars whenever we see one. It looks like they're really close, but I promise they were a safe distance away from it.
Tink has a Funshine Carebear.

Tink had a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party the week before this, so she loved this set up.
Skinj and Clifford--They love to watch that show.
I love this look on Teetee's face! It kind of reminds me of a face Skinja makes sometimes and used to a lot when he was little.
They had Radio Flyer wagons that we were able to use for free. I think this is the best pumpkin patch ever!
Just a great pic of Skinja, totally captures his personality, I think

Oh no! Skinja is in jail! ;) I think he's a little too happy about that.
We got to ride the little train. It was actually really fun. The driver was entertaining and was zigzagging and going in circles.
I'm kind of sad that Skinja isn't in focus in this picture, but it was a little difficult for me to take from my seat right in front of them on the train.
That night we took the kids to the Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat at our church. I think they had a lot of fun playing the games and collecting candy.
