Washer & Dryer, Craft and Fun

We have our own washer and dryer!!! Yay!!! I cannot tell you how elated I am to have these two wonderful machines! They make my life so much easier. I no longer have to pack up four or more large loads of laundry onto our double stroller and push it to the laundry room across the courtyard. I don't have to worry about whether it is raining (or snowing) and how to keep my clean laundry from getting wet. I don't have to worry about leaving it in the washer or dryer too long and having someone move our clothes out of the machines and onto the table. I can do a couple loads a day if I want. I can start a load and put Monster down for a nap and not have to worry about anything. I can start a load and go run errands. I can take my time!

They are LG machines and were a little on the pricey side, but not super-expensive, and we got them interest free (18 months same as cash). We plan to have them paid off by the end of the year!

So, I think I told you about our once-monthly "Mom Craft Day" at playgroup. Learning how to make bows and hair clips was February's craft. These are all the bows and clips I made for Teeny. She loves that she has her very own clips and bows that Mommy made just for her, AND she even is willing to wear them--well, sometimes.

This was not an easy picture to take. She did not want to sit still because she was so excited for Granny and Grumpa to come. They came to visit this past weekend. :)

Teeny just being her silly little self

Monster decided he needed to have his picture taken as well. He is such a cheeser!

I couldn't get him to open his eyes for anything. He insisted they be closed for the picture. (I did notice, however, when Granny was taking pictures of him, he was posing so nicely for her with his eyes OPEN. Little Stinker! :)

Sunday after church was a beautiful sunny day! It was in the 60s and was just warm and great. I thought, "This would be a perfect day to take the kids outside to enjoy the warmth since it has been way colder than normal here." So, we went in the house, had lunch and took naps. When we all woke up, we decided to go outside not realizing that a cold front was starting to move in. It was still sunny out, but boy, was that wind chilly! Not what I was expecting nor hoping for. We stayed outside for about a half hour if that. Shortly after coming inside, we looked out the window and the sky was completely cloud covered. Blah! Today it was cold; I don't think it even hit 40 degrees. And, on top of that it's supposed to snow AGAIN tomorrow! I know I grew up in frigid northeastern Montana, but right now, I'm pretty much over cold weather, especially when it's completely abnormal! I want it to be warm and nice, so we can go outside and play and go for walks and all that fun stuff! Anyway, here are some pictures from Sunday.

Teeny is getting really good at riding her bike. She actually pedals and tries to steer with the handle bars.

Daddy showing the kids how it is done!

Monster is still learning how the bike works--the whole pedaling thing is a foreign concept to him right now. I'm sure he'll pick up on it fairly quickly.

Daddy decided to put his belt on the bike in order to pull the kiddos around on it. Monster didn't really like the idea due in part to the fact that he kept falling off. ;)

Teeny, on the other hand, had a blast letting Daddy pull her around the "yard."

I love how your bows turned out. I still need to pull mineout and finish them. Where do you get the jeweled butterflies and such? I may have to head to Hobby Lobby.

Thanks, Tiff!

Christy, I bought the jeweled stuff at Walmart in the kids craft section. I'm sure Hobby Lobby would have a bigger selection, though.
