SNOW in Texas!!!

Many of you may already know that it snowed here in Texas on Christmas Eve, and we had a white Christmas. Well, since we were in Alabama for Christmas, we missed it. We were very sad that Teeny didn't get her wish of snow for Christmas. (She thinks that there has to be snow in order for Christmas to come. I guess we've watched one too many Christmas movies! ;)
Today, however, the weather got cold again and it went from rain to snow. We were so excited that we had to go out and play in it. Now, this isn't the snow I'm used to playing in, but it was snow nonetheless. The kids really enjoyed themselves and it, even though it wasn't much. I think Noah was trying to figure out what it was at first. It was pretty funny.



Making a snow angel--She has wanted to do this since she saw someone do it in one of the cartoons she watched. (I think it was Caillou...)




This just shows you how wet and sticky the snow was, but when you're a kid, snow is snow.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
