Pillow Fight, Ant Bite, Potato Masher

Monster has had another tooth come in, which makes 7 now. Number 8 is almost in as well.
Both of the kids love swimming in the pool. It took Monster a couple times before he really was okay with it. He has this little floaty-thing that he sits in and I pull him around. He really enjoys being in the kiddie pool in it because he can push himself around. Teeny absolutely loves swimming, and it doesn't matter if it's the big pool or the kiddie pool. She likes that she can put on her floaties and "swim" around the pool all by herself. (She loves anything she can do all by herself. She is extremely independent.)
I was supposed to go to Arkansas yesterday to visit with my best friends from high school, but things didn't work out for us. Hopefully, we can get together another time because I really miss them and would love to spend some time with them. Instead, we helped Daddy's sister move into her new apartment. I don't feel like I did very much because I was mostly trying to keep the kids out of every one's way, but it was nice to be able to help and spend some time with her. Teeny and Monster love their auntie.
I have finally experienced my very first fire ant bite. Actually, I got 3 of them at the same time! Two on one foot and one on the other. I took the trash out a few nights ago and decided not to put shoes on my feet. As I was walking back, I felt something bite my foot. I looked down and had 3 ants biting me, so I smashed them. Then all three spots started burning a little bit and turned red. Surprisingly, it was not as bad as I had anticipated, but it is definitely not something I want to have happen ever again.
Oh! Last week Daddy bought me a present for no apparent reason. (I love getting those! :) My visiting teachers had come over, so he and Teeny went out for a little bit. When they came home, they gave me EA Sports Active for the Wii. I love it! It is like having a personal trainer, but I am able to work out on my own time. I like that I really feel like I'm getting a good workout. I'm a total wimp right now, but I'm hoping that it will help me to get back into shape. I really enjoy it quite a bit. It has also helped me to do other things during the day to stay active like going for walks and doing exercises on WiiFit.

Teeny and Daddy were having a pillow fight. I took this right after she had been hit with the pillow.



One night we had mashed potatoes and Swedish meatballs for dinner. Monster loved the potatoes! He ate lots of them, but he played with even more of them. Daddy calls him our potato mashing mashed potato masher.



We brought Teeny's bicycle inside because someone had moved it down the sidewalk and in front of one of the other buildings in our complex. Monster thought is was great fun to climb on it.

"I'm not doing anything..."



Teeny was watching a movie on the laptop, and Monster decided to sit down and watch for a few minutes. He loves to hold the remote and chew on it as well.

I keep looking at that fisher price high chair. I really like its colors and it would match my house. But when nasty blue works its hard to justify... just feeling a little long distance envy :).

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
