Being Sick Is No Fun!
Okay, so I know that is a "duh" statement, but I think that mothers should never get sick. Aside from the fact that when your sick you feel awful, it seems to make being a mother ten times harder. When I'm sick, I just want to lay in bed or on the couch and do absolutely nothing but sleep and maybe watch some TV or movies. However, as a mother, that is almost completely out of the question. I still have to take care of my children and make sure they are eating and not making a total disaster out of the house. Plus, I feel bad when they end up getting what I have because it hits them way harder than it hits me. Mothers shouldn't have to get sick, but rather, just be able to take care of their sick children and husbands.
So I have been sick all weekend with flu-like symptoms and Toby, of course, is working. I have started feeling better today, but now Noah is getting sick. He's had a runny/stuffy nose for four or five days, but yesterday he started coughing and today I noticed that he was feeling warm. He has also been pretty fussy, which isn't at all normal for him. I'm hoping it will go away soon, but if not, he has a doctor's appointment on Thursday for his 6 month check-up. (It's a little late, but it was as soon as I could get him in. Crazy!)
Mya has not at all been sick, and I think that may be because she got a flu shot back in October or November. I'm glad she hasn't gotten sick. I really dislike when my children get sick. I feel so bad that I can't make it go away, but at least I can cuddle them and try my best to make it not so bad.
