Weekend Trip & Potty Training
Last weekend (the 9th-12th) we went to visit Toby's brother's family in Longview. We haven't seen them since Grandpa's funeral and that was in August. It was nice to have someone to visit with. I get along really well with Ty's fiancee Amber. We mostly just hung out. The highlights of the weekend were going to dinner at El Sombrero (a really tasty Mexican restaraunt), going on a date for the first time since Mya was born, and Toby going for a ride in a Corvette for the very first time.

Amber and Ty told us they would watch Mya and Noah for us if we wanted to go to a movie on Saturday night. Because I was more than willing to go, we jumped at the opportunity. We saw "Yes Man." It was pretty good. I was pleasantly suprised.
We were going to leave on Sunday night, but since we needed to fix a screw that we had in one of our tires, we decided to stay an extra night. If we hadn't stayed, Toby would not have had the chance of a lifetime--to ride in a 2008 Z06 660 horsepower Corvette. I was a little jealous. The Corvette is the favorite car of both of us.
Mya had a blast the whole weekend because she had a friend to play with. She loves her little cousin, Kenna. Well, she is 10 months younger than Mya, but she and Mya are the same size. They seemed to have fun playing together and fighting over toys and all that fun stuff that toddlers do. ;) I didn't get any pictures of them together, but they were always hugging each other. It was super cute!
So Mya wore panties without a diaper underneath for about half the day yesterday. We have a deal with her: If she goes poopy in the toilet, then she gets to wear her panties. (She is always trying to wear them.) She finally went and I decided to let her wear her panties without her diaper. She went the whole day until just before bedtime dry. About a half hour before bedtime she peed in her panties, but I was impressed that she was able to go so long. I know she's not quite ready to go straight to panties and leave the diapers behind, but at least I know we're getting closer to that.
Noah's started to get up on his knees more often. He tends to push himself backwards instead of forwards, but he is starting to get the hang of it. His second tooth has not come in yet, but it is getting very close.
