Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday. We all know that the beginning of a new year is a time for making changes and starting over. I think I have made resolutions almost every year for as long as I understood them, and I'm pretty sure that I broke all of them in a short amount of time. This year I will still make resolutions, but I am not expecting myself to be "perfect" in those resolutions. Rather, I just want to make sure that I do better with them than I have been doing previously. Basically, I want to improve and work on being a better person. I'm not going to beat myself up or give up if I "break" my resolutions. I am going to just keep trying and striving to be better. So my resolutions include

1. Studying scriptures everyday
2. Praying everyday
3. Journaling every week
4. Keeping up with my house (I know this can be futile, but I'm going to try. :)
5. Making lunches everyday for Toby
6. Putting playing time with the kids first
7. Making a meal calendar and sticking to it
8. Getting out of credit card debt (This should be accomplished by the end of the summer. Yay!)
9. Sticking to our budget
10. Getting into better shape (i.e. walking or playing Wii Fit 5-6 days/week)

I'm sure I have more things that I want to work on, but I think that is enough of a list for right now.

Toby has even made a resolutions, which is a big deal because he has never made one and doesn't really believe in them. However, he has one thing that he feels he really needs to do better at (and I agree :). He wants to do better at keeping in touch with his friends and family. I will try to help him out with his resolution as well.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful new year!

We've been working on doing meal calendars, I have yet to be successful. Half my problem is I really don't have meals I can put on the calendar. Lots of scrambled eggs :).
