Bitty, 8-18 Months
So, I realized that I haven't posted any pictures of Bitty since she was 7 months old. Wow! I have a lot of catching up to do! I'm just going list some milestones and when she reached them.
Crawling:
Cruising:
Walking: 11 months
Talking: I don't know when she actually said her first word and knew what it meant, but her first word was Mama. Some of her other first words include Alice (the dog), Dada (not very frequently), and Papa.
She is a monkey! Before she could really walk, she would climb on anything and everything that she could pull herself on to. At first it scared me, but I've gotten used to it now. She doesn't really seem to be scared of very much except when Daddy throws her up high in the air. She loves all dogs and most animals. She loves candy and sweets. Anything to drink is juice. She loves shoes, which is funny because not too long ago I couldn't get her to keep shoes on her feet. Now, one of the first thing she wants to do when she wakes up is put shoes on. She even wears them to bed sometimes. LOL She wears everyone's shoes and changes shoes a dozen times a day. Shoes and juice sound the same when she says them.
She loves music! If there is music, you can almost always find her dancing and singing along. Right now she loves the Frozen soundtrack. Her favorite songs are "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and "Let It Go." She will just randomly start singing "let it go;" it is super cute! She will also often try conducting the music at church and other places. She loves to sit at the piano and try to play and gets really upset when I take her away from it.
This past Sunday, May 18, was her first Sunday in Nursery and she did amazing! I took her in there and she just walked away from me like that's exactly where she belonged. It was fabulous. :-)
She is very loving and sweet. She loves to give hugs and kisses. She likes to comfort her brother and sisters when they get hurt or are sad. It is very sweet.
She likes to sit on the potty but never actually goes. I'm hoping she'll potty train early but I'm not going to push it right now.
Oh! She loves to be outside! She knows how to open the front door, so we have to keep the dead bolt locked to keep her from escaping.
Other things she has learned to say: mine, gamma, I want, uh-uh, uh-huh, all her siblings names, bubba, sissy, owie, eyes, ears, nose, poopoo, peek-a-boo (that's her favorite game!), mom (She usually yells this without warning when she wants something.), out, outside, thank you (She only says please in sign language.), mommy, daddy (She says this all the time now. She gets really excited when he comes home from work. I love it!)
