Montanutah, Part 2: Family Time & River Fun

While we were in Montana, we tried to take the kiddos to the local museum because it is a place I loved to go as a kid, but since it was fair week, the museum was closed. So, we decided to take the kids to one of the parks that I played at quite frequently as a child.

Outside the museum--I love how Tink and Pateetee are doing the same thing.

Most of the playground equipment at this park has been here since I was in grade school. Such great memories made at this park!

Both Tink and Skinja figured out how to do these monkey bars by themselves. Tink could get all the way across by herself. Skinj got about 3/4 of the way before falling.

Not sure what the purpose of this ladder is/was, but the kids enjoyed climbing to the top. I used to love climbing on it, too!

Daddy playing with Pateetee in the muddy Yellowstone River

You can't really tell from these pictures, but the mud that Skinja is sitting in was craziness. We would all sink about 4-5 inches in it. The kids loved it!

Tink had a blast catching frogs.

It rained on us while we were there, so we ended leaving earlier than we had originally planned. When it rains in Montana, it cools off significantly. We were all getting pretty chilly by the time we left.

One of the things that I miss about Montana--besides my family--is the weather. I love being able to go outside on a summer evening and be absolutely comfortable. There may be nasty little mosquitoes biting, but at least you're not sweating. We took advantage of that as much as possible.

Everybody just relaxing and visiting

Nana--she always has a goofy look on her face :)

I had to put this pic on, so you could see how Alice is growing. This was about a month and a half after we got her.
