Snow Days
By now, you've all heard of, if not experienced, this crazy winter storm. Tuesday morning we awoke to whiteness. Originally, we thought it was snow, and technically it sort of was, but mostly it was just ice. It was about 18 degrees outside, too, which is something I am definitely NOT used to any more! Tink kept asking all day if we could go out and play in the snow, and I had to keep reminding her that it wasn't snow, just ice. And, that is was too stinkin' cold to go out and play. With the wind-chill I think it was in the single digits. Brrrrrr!

We went over to one of my friend's house to make freezer dinners and had to bundle everyone up. Pateetee was not a fan of getting layers of clothing on or getting buckled in her car seat. However, before we got home (My friend lives less than 5 minutes away. I can walk to her house in nicer weather.), she was sound asleep. I love to take pictures of my sleeping babies!
This is what we woke up to this (Friday) morning. Real snow! Tink was so excited that as soon as she woke me up, she asked if we could play in the snow. And, after we ate breakfast and got ready, we did!
Sknija got super cold after about 15 minutes outside, so I had to take him and Teetee inside. Tink decided to stay out in the back yard for another 20 or so minutes. I have decided that I don't mind colder weather as long as there is snow because then we can actually go out and play in it. And, I prefer it to not be so cold that it's just plain unbearable to take children outside. Oh! And, it's much nicer when you actually have the proper winter clothing. I know, I'm so picky. ;)
Skinj trying to warm up after playing in the snow
Pateetee eating some of the snow that fell off her mittens--She really like eating the snow!
Just came in from the snow--I don't think she was ready to come in just yet, but I had to bring her in with Skinj.
Teetee's first time being in the snow!
I put her in the stroller so I could play in the snow too.
Tink and Skinja playing and having fun--This makes me wish we lived some place that got more snow in the winter.
I took this picture just before we went outside to play. You can't tell, but the kids each have on at least two layers of clothing. Like I said before, proper winter clothing would be nice! ;)
