Day Trip
Saturday we drove up to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to see Amish country. I really wanted to take pictures of the Amish and their homes and everything, but they don't believe in being photographed. So, I don't have any pictures for you. It was really neat driving around and seeing how they live. It was a mix of feeling like we had stepped back In time and feeling like we were in a re-creation of their lifestyle. I guess you could say it was kind of surreal. The reason we were able to drive around and see their farms is because they sell their goods to everyone. Granny bought some veggies for an incredible price and the biggest cantaloupe I've ever seen. See also got some canned fruit. I bought homemade candy--chocolate peanut butter bars and coconut bon bons--and peanut brittle. Oh! I also bought a jar of black raspberry jelly. I thought about buying some rolls that looked absolutely amazing, and now I'm kicking myself for not getting them. The kids had fun and found the Amish lifestyle interesting.

The other wards in our stake choose to separate the kids by ages but we don't since its not fair to some teachers to have 12 18 month olds versus 12 3 years olds which would be comparitavely easy. This year we had 16 3 yr olds which is too big for one class and too small for 2 classes.
