Monster's 2nd Birthday


We spent Monster's birthday in Longview with Uncle T and Aunt A. Aunt A was super sweet and bought a cookie cake for Monster. They also took us to the East Texas Alligator Park, which is where we celebrated Monster's birthday.

There was a little petting zoo at the park, and Daddy took Monster and Teeny in to see the animals.



Monster wouldn't touch the deer's antlers, but he didn't mind petting it's hind-quarters.

It took Daddy a little while to get Monster comfortable with feeding the goats.

I don't know if Monster really understands the concepts of birthdays yet, but at least we got to celebrate his birthday. And, he seemed to enjoy it pretty well.

OOh deer! We've only been able to pet goats, sheep and giraffe's so far.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
