10 Year High School Reunion


On Saturday, July 25, we went up to Lake Worth for Daddy's 10 year high school reunion. I was excited to meet Daddy's friends and classmates, but I was a little anxious about it too. I find it interesting to meet people who have known Daddy a lot longer than I have, especially other girls. It's a little weird. I guess sometimes I get a little insecure, but I know that he loves me. Anyway, the people that I would have liked to have seen didn't show up, but most of them I have already met. It was fun to see how everyone interacted with each other after 10 years, and it makes me wonder how it would have been at my own reunion. (It was a month ago, and we weren't able to make it up to Montana in time.) Almost everyone said that Daddy was exactly the same except that he had gained weight. I did meet one person there who I got along with quite well, and I think she is just a really cool lady. I think I would have been good friends with her, and if we lived near each other, I could definitely see myself being friends with her now. (BTW, Daddy's graduating class was 66, I think. Only about 1/3 of them showed up.) A few people are missing from the picture I have, but it was the best one out of all the ones I took.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
