Monster chewing on my lip gloss and holding the XBox 360 controller

The chew toy of the day=lip gloss...Don't you just love his big brown eyes?

There are those beautiful eyes again! I love 'em!

We read scriptures (or at least try to) every night before Teeny goes to bed. After we read one night, she decided she wanted to read scriptures by herself.

I know you're probably over me posting all of Teeny's crazy outfits, but I just have to show you this one. This is what she wore to get the mail on an 80 degree day. :)

Life has been pretty eventful for us this past week. Well, I guess it has mostly been the past two days. Yesterday was Daddy's first day off work, and we went grocery shopping since he also got paid on Friday. We did a great job shopping deals and using coupons. We spent around $150 on about $300 worth of groceries. The best deal we got was on Pillsbury Grands Biscuits. Albertsons had them on sale 10 for $10, and I had a coupon for 50 cents off 2. Plus they had an in-store coupon for 75 cents off 3, and the biscuits had a coupon on them for another 30 cents off 2 or 3. On top of that, Albertsons doubles coupons between 39 and 50 cents, and triples coupons under 39 cents. So, to make a long story short we got 3 things of biscuits for 35 cents total! I still have a lot to learn when it comes to bargain shopping, but I was pretty proud of myself for that one. Also, we found boneless ribs for 99 cents a pound and couldn't pass it up, which brings me to my next story.
Because we got the ribs, we decided to have them for dinner that night. Of course we didn't have a grill, so we went to Walmart a bought a small one. Once we finally got it put together, Daddy started it up. While it was warming up, Daddy got a phone call and Teeny got really excited to tell them that we were grilling ribs. She went over to the grill and put both her hands on the lid. She burned the palms of both her hands. We ended up taking her to the ER and getting her hands wrapped up and medicine to help with the pain. She cried a lot, and we both felt terrible for her. Now, she is afraid of the stove and anything that is or could potentially be hot, which I guess is kind of a good thing. I haven't taken pictures of her hands without the bandages, but maybe I'll do that tomorrow. They're not too horribly bad, but they are blistered.

Granny came for a visit today and is staying the night. We have been having a blast with her here. We made paper airplanes and flew them outside, colored on the sidewalk (and Daddy), played hopscotch, and made sock puppets. It is so fun to have visitors!
