Job & Vacation

Well, we didn't get the new job. (Dang it! :) Oh well, I guess everything happens for a reason...I'm not sure what this one is, yet. But, I'm positive I will find out sooner or later. For all we know, it may have been a bad situation for Toby to be in. So, for now, we are still living with Grandma and once we get back from vacation, we will start looking for a place to live in Cleburne. It is a small town just south of Fort Worth. I am kind of excited to live in a small town again. I like the coziness of a small town and how everything seems to be just up (or down) the street. I will admit, however, that I have gotten quite accustomed to having everything so close to our house where we are living right now.
We are currently on vacation in Orange County, California. Toby decided about a two weeks ago that he wanted to go somewhere for our anniversary, and I have been wanting to come out to California to visit. So, we decided to get tickets and bring the kids out. It is also for Mya's birthday, but we are leaving before she actually turns 2 so that we don't have to buy a plane ticket for her on the way back.
So far, it has been pretty relaxing. We haven't really been doing a whole lot. We did take the kids to the beach and have been visiting with some of our friends. We are going to Disneyland on Tuesday, so that should be pretty entertaining. We are also hoping to be able to go to the Newport Temple; we haven't been in so long and I miss it dearly. Well, I guess that's about all for now. I will post pictures soon, but right now I'm very tired and want to go to bed. :)

With the whole BYU job mess with Rich it turned out that a better job was around the corner in 2 years that in another 5 will be better at providing for our family than the one in Provo.

Have a nice vacation! I find them more tireing than rejuvenating so we don't take too many.

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
