What a Busy Life

This is going to be a short blog. I just wanted to write in and let you all know how we're doing. Toby is keeping busy with work, but may be going to the new 14-7 schedule starting next week. If he does, he will have next week off because that is the schedule of the crew he will be working with. I'm so excited!

The girls and I are staying busy as well. Brit gets out of school tomorrow, and then she and Kelli will be going to stay with their dad for a month. Miss Mya and I will have a whole month to get things ready for the baby and get a bunch of other things done--hopefully. ;)

I've been working on getting things ready for my Pampered Chef Open House on Saturday. It sounds like I will have a pretty decent turnout, and I'm hoping I'll be able to get at least 4 bookings out of it. I've really been trying to get more into my business and make it a more regular income. I do enjoy doing it and I love the perks! ;) I'm trying not to get discouraged about it being so slow and not knowing very many people. I'm hoping this show will help me solve both problems.

The pregnancy is going quite well. I've had a few practice contractions, but nothing major. I am enjoying my midwives clinic, but I really would like to meet the rest of the midwives. I've had the same one twice in a row, and she's not very personable. She's very much an "in and out" kind of person. She talks quite fast and seems like she's rushing me and herself. She also doesn't seem very interested in me as a patient, even though she asks questions about me. I just get the feeling that she has more important things to do than help me. Does that make sense?

Well, I guess that's about all for now. I need to get to bed, so I can get up and get things done in the morning. Love to you all!

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
