Update
Cool rock formations somewhere in Wyoming.
Cheese poof faced Mya--she had a blast eating in the car and turning orange! :)
A tunnel in Wyoming that we drove through.
Toby's shaggy beard and goofy face--He drove most of the way.
Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado--where Toby's favorite team plays
See, I told you I drove for a little bit! :)
The mountains in Colorado look very different from the mountains in Utah. I thought this was a magnificent view!
And then we finally made it to Texas! It is very green--not brown, like some people think. ;)
And of course, it is also extremely flat! It kind of reminds me of home, but even flatter. (I didn't know that was even possible! ;)
Well, as for other news, Mya has been talking up a storm. She is like a little parrot repeating everything we say. For example, she heard me say "Dang it." one day and copied me. It was pretty cute sounding. And today we were listening to a Christian music station on the radio on the way to church, and Mya started mimicking the singer. She was saying, "Holy, holy, holy." It was rather endearing. I believe Mya is also going through a growth spurt right now. She is finally growing out of her 12 month clothes and into more of her 18 month ones. She has also become quite independent. She loves to put her shoes on all by herself and buckle herself into her high chair and car seat. She is becoming more interested in using the potty, but has still only gone on it a couple times. She enjoys sharing with everyone as long as it is on her terms. :)
We recently bought a van--a 2007 Toyota Sienna. We got a really good deal on it because of the hail damage it received. (It really isn't even that bad.) I drive it most of the time and absolutely love it! There is so much more room for the girls to get in and out, and it will be perfect to carry everyone around when we have visitors. :)
I have started going to a Midwives clinic in Fort Worth and will be using Hypnobirthing for bringing this baby into the world. I'm excited to try something different and am looking forward to having a more pleasant birthing experience. We are currently 33 weeks along (That's about 8 months.) I am also participating in a study for pregnant women. The study compares three different groups--a non-treatment, ultrasound therapy and OMT (osteopathic manipulative treatment)--to find out if the two treatments improve the levels of pain and/or discomfort pregnant women experience during pregnancy. Hoping that I would get put into one of the two treatments, I signed up for it, but of course, I got put in the non-treatment group. Oh well! I still get paid for it and I only have to fill out a survey every two weeks. :)
Work is going pretty well for Toby. He is finally working on his own now, and by the beginning of June, or shortly thereafter, they will go to their new work schedule, which will be 14 days on and 7 days off. We are excited because once we get closer to getting out of debt and after the baby is born, we are planning to start taking trips to see everyone on our weeks off. :)
Here are some more recent pictures of Mya. I promise I will post new pictures of me and my belly as soon as I can get Toby to take them. ;) Love you all!
You can see my belly here, but this was about 3 or 4 weeks ago. We were at the park watching the ducks.
Mya loves to swing!
Mya in her superfun lifejacket bathing suit. This was her first time in a pool.
Our first day swimming; you can kind of see my belly.
