We're Here!

We made it to Texas at about 1:30pm CDT Easter Sunday. We are really enjoying our time here. Toby is still working on the job situation, but I started watching Kelly and Britni, Toby's nieces, on Monday. Kelly is 3 and I have her all day long. Britni is 8 and I pick her up after she gets out of school. Both girls are very well-behaved, and Mya loves having them around. I think it is nice for her to have someone to play besides her boring mom. ;)
We shipped all our stuff down in a ReloCube through UPack (ABF), and picked it up on Wednesday. It took us 3 trailer loads to get it all out. We thought it was all going to fall on top of us when we opened it, but it wasn't too bad. Only a few things tried to come tumbling out, but we managed to catch it all before we opened the doors completely. It was extremely sunny and warm outside that day (around 80 degrees). Being the genius that I am, I didn't put any sunscreen on (I didn't think I would need it and I didn't know where any was in the house.) and of course, because I'm a pasty white girl, I got sunburnt. So, in March of all craziness, I get my first sunburn of the year. I don't think that has ever happened to me. However, I did learn something from it--Don't ever go outside in Texas without sunscreen! :)
We are staying with Toby's Grandma and Grandpa Pevsner. They have been so excited to have us here and they absolutely adore Mya. We are excited to be here. We have felt very welcomed here and are enjoying spending time with Omi and Opa (that's what the great-grandkids call them). I am starting to get to know the area a little bit; I know how to get to Britni's school and back, and I know how to get to a couple parks. Other than that, I'm pretty clueless as to where things are. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but it is a little scary not knowing where things are.
We still have many things we need to do. We did get the car registered today. That was nice to have one thing to cross off our list. We still need to get our driver's licenses, figure out our health insurance, doctors, etc. Hopefully, it won't take too long to get it all taken care of.
I guess that's about all for now. We hope all is going well for y'all. ;) (I had to throw it in.) Love you!
