Puppies
So back in September, we found a litter of four puppies in our backyard under our shed. The momma had abandoned them. When we realized that they hadn't eaten in a few days and were covered with fleas, we decided to bath and shave them and take care of them until we could find a good place for them. About 4 days later, Daddy found 3 more from the same litter in the road on his way to work, so we took them in as well.
After about a week, we found a woman who runs a shelter in northwest San Antonio who was able to take 3 of the puppies. And I think it was about a week and a half later that she took 2 more of them. She was able to find good homes for the five puppies she took. We kept the other two puppies until this past weekend. We had them for about 5-6 weeks, and honestly, the kids and I were starting to get attached to them. I had been continuing to look for a place to take them, but both ladies that I know who run animal rescues were full and couldn't take them. Last weekend we decided to take the puppies to the San Antonio Humane Society.
By the time we had driven up there, Skinja and Pateetee were asleep. So, Daddy and Tink took the puppies into the building. I started to cry when they left the van but was able to compose myself by the time Daddy and Tink came back. The puppies are adorable and very sweet, so I have no doubt that they will find a good home very quickly. I would have liked to keep them, but I just felt like right now was very bad timing for us to have another puppy to take care.
Here are some picks of the puppies.

These are the first four puppies we found: 3 blonde, 1 black. The blonde ones are male, and the black one is female. This is after we shaved and bathed them.
These are the three Daddy found in the road. They are all male, and the black and gray ones are the ones we kept the longest.
This is the momma.
