Daddy's New Toy

WARNING: This post contains a large number of photos! ;)

Daddy got a new toy a few weeks ago, and the day after we got it, we took the kids to the park to play with it. I also started trying to play with the camera in different modes than auto. Since then I have been trying to play with it every time I use it. I think I'm getting better at it, but I'm still really green with it. Anyway, here are some of the pictures from that outing.









Teetee likes to play with and try to eat the rocks.




Tink loves the monkey bars. Usually, she can only get to the second bar by herself, but that day she got to the fourth bar before she needed Daddy to come help her.



Skinja is getting ready for the truck to go flying off the table, and I think he just got done telling me he is Superman. (Now, he always tells me he is Spiderman.)

Most of these following pictures are ones I took when I was playing with the camera and trying to figure it out. I picked out my favorite ones.



I think this one could be photoshopped to look better, but I like the aspect of it.





All 3 of the above pictures are quick Photoshop jobs I did of the picture below. It was overexposed, so I thought I would try some different affects to see how they looked. I'm sure they could still use some tweaking to look better, but considering the small amount of time I spent on them, I think they look pretty decent. 



Another Photoshop edit of the following picture. (I'm also trying to figure out Photoshop. I'm definitely a beginner, but it's fun to try different things.)

Friends' Birthday

In June, we were invited to a birthday party for twin girls who are Tink's friends from church. They have a big family and most of them live around here, so they had a big party and BBQ at the park. The kids (big and small ;) had a great time! They played a fabulous version of Duck, Duck, Goose! The person who was it carried around a pail of water. When they said Duck, they would sprinkle a little water on the person, but when they said Goose, they would dump the entire bucket of water on the person. It was hilarious to watch! The girl getting the water dumped on her head has the same name as one of my daughters. I just love the expression on her face. Priceless! Pictures of the Belly....FINALLY!!!

Okay, so now that we are 38 1/2 weeks along (as of the date of the pictures), we finally got some pictures of the baby bump....well, it's more of a baby mountain, I think, but at any rate, here they are. Enjoy! See what I mean--it's huge! ;) It's like a little seat for Mya. Here are some new pictures of the cute little booger. She just keeps growing and learning new words. She speaks in sentences and climbs on everything. She loves to brush her teeth and wash her hands. And, inevitably, she has learned the word NO. Sometimes it drives me nuts because she says it no matter what you ask her and no matter if she really does want something or not. I know that all kids are like that, but I kept hoping she wouldn't learn it. Oh well! C'est la vie! :) She learned this from her daddy! :) A cute picture of daddy and daughter at a Primary activity.
