Teeny's 4th Birthday Party
Saturday we celebrated Teeny turning 4 by having a little party at the park with some of her friends. Of course, mother nature decided not to cooperate with us, and it stormed (i.e. rain, wind, thunder). We still went through with it because it didn't actually start storming until after we got to the park, and by that time, I didn't want to move everything and call everyone to change locations. The kids still had a good time despite being cold and wet. At least we had the pavilion to keep us mostly dry.
Waiting for the piñata--It's one of the new pull-string piñatas. I thought I wasn't going to like it because I didn't think it would be as much fun. However, the kids seemed to have fun trying to find the string that would break it open, AND it is much less dangerous. :)
You can see the wind blowing the pinata pull-strings in the picture and all the kids shivering and trying to stay warm.
Every kids for themselves! ;)
Enjoying the spoils of their labors.
Lil Chicky trying to stay warm. I totally didn't think about bringing a blanket for her since it was still pretty warm when we left the house. She's covered up with my nursing cover!
The party
Getting ready to sing happy birthday--We were actually waiting to see if anyone had a lighter or matches in their vehicle since I forgot ours at home. (FYI: No one had anything. Well, actually someone did have a flint starter, but we opted not to go that direction. ;)
Princess Fairy cake I made using my Pampered Chef classic batter bowl. I was so excited that it actually turned out correctly! (I had tried to make a football cake for Daddy's birthday using the same batter bowl, and it was a disaster. I didn't know that I needed to bake the cake for over an hour on a lower temperature.)
The Birthday Girl

I think she was pouting about her piece of cake because she wanted more sprinkles on it than she got. Picky, picky! ;)
