BABY NOAH!!!

Okay, so I finally am getting around to posting pictures of our beautiful little boy. Noah Tobias Stewart was born Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 9:19am. He was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 1/4 inches. We took him in for his two week check up today, and he now weighs 9 lbs and is 21 3/4 inches long. He is growing so fast! We won't be at all surprised if/when he surpasses Mya in size.

I had a rough first week after he was born--well, actually, it didn't start until we came home from the hospital. Anyway, I had a hard time trying to adjust to having two children at home and not having Toby around (or anyone else for that matter). On top of that, I started worrying about how I was going to juggle taking Mya and Noah to church by myself when Toby has to work and teaching Primary. And I was worrying about how to handle taking care of my two and Britni and Kelli. Of course it was needless worrying, and I managed to realize that I needed to just take everything one day at a time. I do what I can in that day, and I try not to worry about the next day until I get to it. Things started getting better after one night of intense heartfelt prayer where I just told my Heavenly Father about everything that was getting me down and all my worries and fears. I told Him that I knew if He would help me, I would be able to get through everything. Then, a thought came into my mind--"Although you may feel like a 'single mom' sometimes, you are not. Toby is there for you no matter what. Turn to him. Let him help you. Let others help you." After that night, I started to feel better and things continued to go up from there. Currently, we are having a great time learning how to be a family together and getting to know each other in a new dynamic.

Noah & Granny

The New Stewart Family

Right after Noah was born, Mya wanted to hold Mommy.

Mya absolutely loves her "baby brudder." She constantly wants to hold him. At first she was pretty rough with him--she didn't understand that he was a real person and that she could hurt him. She has gotten a lot better and is a lot more gentle now. She still tries to pull on his hands and feet and is constantly wanting to bite his fingernails and toe nails and pick his boogies. She is an absolute riot! We are so excited to have Noah as part of our family!
